Standing on the Shoulder of Giants –NAACP Dinner 2/18/12

My career has given me the opportunity to travel throughout the United States.  I have stay at every hotel imaginable, eaten at dives and Michelin rated restaurants.  I have stopped at rest stops along the Turnpike for quick snacks while driving south from New York.  I have also without thought or concern pulled my car over in to a gas station to ask for directions when lost.  These things would not have been possible, but for those who fought for the right to make these tasks now ordinary and mundane obtainable for African Americans like me. The NAACP, its founders and members were instrumental in helping to make that possible.

Come support the Martha’s Vineyard NAACP Chapter’s Annual Membership & Awards Dinner at the At the Grill on Main in Edgartown.  For more information call 508-696-5785
